Shadows Edge was founded by Blayden Thompson and Bret Hampton on September 15, 2003. We are real life friends who have decades of gaming experience with Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft, Ultima Online, Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, and many other games. We met in 1991 while working for WordPerfect.
Over the years, we tried new games and began the process of learning each other’s style of play, as well as learning about our strengths and weaknesses. Over time, we became a well-polished gaming team. We became mature, experienced players who joined various guilds and fine-tuned our gaming skills and abilities. We often found ourselve surfing the web for game content. It quickly became apparent to us that we needed to host our own fan site and build content that was important to us.

We are I.T. professionals whose skills are programming, software testering, graphic design, user interface design and web development. We spent some time discussing our experiences with various games and decided to take our turn at creating and hosting a gaming fan site for World of Warcraft (WoW). Since WoW continued its cycle of being pushed back, we focused our attention of Dark Age of Camelot.
Our goals is to enjoy playing online games and discover and provide the data we feel is import to our site. We continue to find ourselves excited and looking forward to World of Warcraft's release. We love learning everything about the game, playing hard, and taking our gaming experience to a new level. We sincerely hope that you find our gaming resources valuable and in a small way enhance your gaming experience. Our goal is simply to create and build a first rate fan site to support the wonderful World of Warcraft.
